Quality Assurance Officer will support the quality systems in FMIB and ensure our products consistently meet food safety and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for someone with a background in food technology and has a passion for continuous improvement.

The incumbent will be instrumental to implement and monitor quality assurance procedures across the abattoir production process, conduct quality audits, inspection and checks, investigate quality issues, document findings, and assist with corrective and preventive actions. Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs and records, support compliance with relevant standards and assist during external audits and inspections and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product quality and safety or any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time


Key Requirements:

  • Diploma in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in a quality assurance role within the food or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles and quality management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office and documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • HACCP certification or equivalent food safety training is desirable
  • Familiarity with food industry standards.
